The desert is in bloom and it’s time for the 14th Annual Coachella Valley Wildflower Festival that is put on by the Friends’ of the Desert Mountains. Sponsored by the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians and the City of Palm Desert, the event which normally would take a single day is being celebrated the entire month of March this year because of COVID pandemic precautions. Learn about the variety of virtual events and how this year’s event still encourages people of all ages to get out into nature and participate. Executive Director Tammy Martin shares many of this years highlights and events with John McMullen.
